AboutLaurie-Anne Jaubert
Hybrid artist based in Brussels, Laurie-Anne graduated from ESA Aix-en-Provence after studying
Anthropology. In January 2021 in Marseille she is accompanied by Dos Mares and Aplombs for a first
personal exhibition at the Ateliers Vian. On the strength of these experiences and funded by the South
Region, she started a residency at the Werktank Factory in September 2021 which gave birth to the
Lumitérale.
In her career she has participated in numerous collective exhibitions such as “GHOST DANCE”, at
Château La Coste 2021 or more recently,”Out Of Orbit” (“Bang! Fringe”) as well as at “(UN) Common
Ground” at iMAL in May 2022.

This experiential installation explores different states of sound and visual materialities. Hybridizing
light animation, sound mutation and textile construction, La Lumitérale offers the experience of a fine breach, of a frontier space between real and virtual, between abstraction and figuration.
La Lumitérale revolves around a symbiosis of image and sound. By playing with the idea of ever-
complicating sound loops allied to luminous creatures that emerge and unfold, the experience becomes hypnotic and sensitive. The notion of time evaporates.
Through the combination of the movement of animations integrated into the atmosphere, this work
explores the experience of trouble, of doubt by immersing us inside an experimental fable.
