Boston 168 (Italie) – Live :

Hailing from the Italian Motor City of Turin, the Boston 168 duo,is a kind of creative laboratory : true electronics researchers, who have spent years working on the vivisection of sound in order to create a new techno substance. In 2010 with their friend Gambo they created the Old and Young label which combines Gambo’s experience with their fresh perspective to take techno to unexplored territories. This is when they get to work on their live set and start irradiate with cosmic warmth, the dawns in warehouses, ex-industries and clubs, taking their audience on journeys in search new gravitational spaces and sonic black holes. Like the music on their label, their live sets combine the machines that have made the history of techno such as the TB-303 and the TR’s from Roland, with new machines from Elektron.

As a resident of the iconic Fuse Club in Brussels and the infamous Voltage Festival, Phara has been on the Belgian techno scene’s forefront since the start of his career in 2016. After releasing a 2 x 12” album on the renowned Black Sun Records following up on artists like Blawan, AnD, Sunil Sharpe & many more, Phara has been continuously putting out dancefloor weapons on labels such as Planet Rhythm, Projekts, SK-Eleven and Soma.

In October 2021 he announced his first label PHAAAR, specially made to release his own productions. Known for his raw and energetic DJ sets, Phara takes a modern twist on old school techno. It shows up in his live performances which he’s been working on for a few years now : with only an ElecTribe as his only instrument on stage, he’s pushing the capacities of the machine to root a visceral techno out if it.
